Streamline Search is seeking a Mobile Forklift Engineer for field-based duties across customer sites in the East Midlands. The role focuses on servicing, repairing and maintaining forklift trucks and warehouse equipment, with occasional workshop work.

The position offers on-the-road duties with on-the-job training and clear career progression. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical fault-finding skills, a full UK driving licence, and is comfortable working independently on a mobile workload.

Qualifications

• Experience as forklift engineer is desirable.
• Candidate from plant, agricultural, HGV, automotive or similar mechanical backgrounds will be considered.
• Strong mechanical and fault-finding skills are required.
• Basic electrical and hydraulic knowledge is required.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair forklift trucks and material handling equipment.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Complete service reports and job documentation accurately.
• Deliver high standard of customer service on client sites.
• Ensure all work is safe and in line with company procedures.
• Assist with workshop-based repairs and servicing when required.

Mobile Forklift Engineer

Location: East Midlands (Field-Based)

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:30

Salary: £17.00 - £20.00 per hour (DOE)

About the Role

We are looking for a Mobile Forklift Engineer to join a well-established materials handling business. This is a predominantly mobile position, attending customer sites to service, maintain and repair forklift trucks and warehouse equipment. There may also be occasional workshop-based work when required.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Forklift Engineer, although candidates with a strong mechanical background from industries such as plant, HGV, agricultural or construction equipment will also be considered. Full on-the-job training is available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair forklift trucks and material handling equipment.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.

• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
