Job summary

Amey Ltd is recruiting a permanent Field Engineer to join our TSIC account in Cumbernauld, on-site across Scotland’s highways network. You’ll deliver reactive and planned maintenance, installation and commissioning works on CCTV, Traffic Monitoring Units, VMS, Emergency Telephones and other ITS equipment, typically 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

You’ll contribute to keeping Scotland’s roads safe and reliable, with duties including electrical testing to BS7671, updating diagrams and ensuring

Qualifications

• Field Engineer with electrical, control, and communications installations experience.
• Experience completing electrical testing to BS7671.
• Ability to update schematic diagrams and as-built records.
• Valid driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical, control, and communications installations in line with current Regulations and Manufacturer recommendations, including urgent or emergency response.
• Completing initial verification and periodic electrical testing and inspection to BS7671, issuing all required certification.
• Updating schematic diagrams and as-built records.
• Delivering all aspects of highway electrical maintenance, including routine and cyclic works.
• Taking ownership of Health and Safety, ensuring the safety of yourself and others while maintaining full compliance with legislation.
• Keeping accurate records, completing all necessary documentation, and liaising with Amey colleagues, subcontractors, emergency services, police, the public, clients, and customers.
