Job summary

Vertas Group's Facilities Team is recruiting a mobile caretaker to cover maintenance, cleaning and site checks across a building. The role involves day-to-day minor repairs, checking heating and lighting, monitoring health and safety records, and keeping site stocks.

The position is 18.5 hours per week on split shifts between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday, with deep cleans during office closed hours. A full clean manual driving licence and enhanced DBS check are required.

• Experience using cleaning machines and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs, including cleaning and painting tasks.
• Carrying out and recording basic checks and maintaining health and safety records.
• Monitoring site stocks and undertaking cleaning duties.
• Carrying out deep cleans during office closed hours using cleaning equipment.
• Carrying out PAT testing throughout the building.

What the job involves

• Carrying out day-to-day maintenance and minor repairs, including painting and putting up notice boards
• Making sure heating, lighting and alarm systems are working properly
• Carrying out and recording basic checks and maintaining health and safety records
• Monitoring site stocks and undertaking cleaning duties
• Carrying out deep cleans during office closed hours using carpet cleaners, hard floor cleaners and high-reach dusting equipment
• Carrying out PAT testing throughout the whole building

Experience

• Experience in a similar setting
• Experience using cleaning machines, including carpet cleaners, hard floor cleaners and high-reach dusting equipment
