Job summary

Sheffield City Council is looking for an Environmental Services Officer to join the Street Scene & Regulations Services. You will work mobile across the city with a provided van, PPE, and IT equipment, delivering pest control and other environmental duties in a responsive, professional team.

Applicants should hold the BPCA Level 2/RSPH Level 2 certificate, have a full clean driving licence, and be competent with computers.

Qualifications

• Applicants must hold BPCA Level 2 or RSPH Level 2 certificate.
• Full clean driving license required.
• Experience in pest control and environmental duties.
• Computer and IT skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide knowledge and advice on pest control for the Council and private sector.
• Undertake clearance/disinfection of noxious, verminous, or contaminated areas.
• Work flexibly, including outside normal hours.
• Be willing to work in unpleasant conditions and lift heavy items.
