Job summary

Speedy Group is seeking an experienced Mobile Engineer to service, repair and maintain equipment at customer sites in Erith. You will handle planned maintenance and respond to breakdowns, working independently with a strong safety and customer-service mindset.

The role offers a 9-day fortnight with every other Wednesday off, extensive training, and career progression within Speedy Group. Driving the field service requires travel to customer sites and hands-on problem solving.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering experience, ideally in hire/plant or similar.
• Fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Strong focus on safety and customer service.
• Flexible and team-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing equipment at customer sites.
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance per schedules.
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently.
• Responding to breakdowns to get customers back up and running.
• Carrying out equipment inspections and safety checks.
• Keeping accurate service and maintenance records.
• Managing workload effectively while working independently.
• Providing a professional and helpful service to customers.
• Working with colleagues to ensure equipment remains safe and reliable.
