Job summary

Selwood is expanding its electrical division and seeks a Mobile Electrician to install, service, and repair electrical and mechanical pump sets across branches and customer sites in the Birmingham area.

The role requires practical electrical engineering skills, with on-call responsibilities and a Monday–Friday 40-hour week. ECS Gold card or equivalent qualifications are essential. A company van is provided.

Qualifications

• JIB qualification and ECS Gold card required; 18th edition preferred.
• Full UK Driving Licence with a company van provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical installation work in accordance with current I.E.E. Regulations for Electrical Installations and Construction Industry Safety Regulations.
• Maintain, install, service and repair electrical/mechanical pump sets within the hire fleet and customer units to required standards.
• Produce reports and estimates to repair set units and advise on safety issues as necessary.
• Keep a good standard of housekeeping ensuring work areas and vehicles are kept in good order and clean.
• Ensure all necessary Risk Assessment/Method Statements are adhered to.
• Communicate regularly with your manager and stakeholders regarding timelines, quality and service levels.
• Be self-driven, with the ability to work independently to manage own workloads and call outs.
• Attend call outs for the branch as part of a call out rota (1 in 6 weeks).
