Job summary

Thames Water is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join the Camberley pumping team. This mobile role travels across pumping stations in the Home Counties South, inspecting, maintaining, fault diagnose, test, install, modify or repair electrical and mechanical plant with minimal supervision.

You will provide specialist technical advice, mentor staff, and help ensure safe, reliable operations, contributing to excellent customer service and environmental outcomes.

Qualifications

• You should be a time-served apprentice with significant experience in electrical/mechanical systems.
• Significant electrical engineering knowledge and ability to fault diagnose and repair.
• 18th Edition preferred but training can be given.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify or repair electrical and mechanical plant.
• Liaise with Technical Support Manager to respond to alarms and perform reactive maintenance.
• Record work and asset information to improve performance and raise risks for resolution.
• Provide specialist technical advice and support to staff and apprentices.
