Job summary

Thames Water is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician for a mobile role covering multiple pumping stations in the Home Counties South area. You will inspect, maintain, fault-diagnose, test and repair electrical equipment across sites, while coordinating with the Technical Support Manager to respond to alarms and ensure continuous operation.

The role requires time-served electrical/mechanical experience and qualifications (NVQ/C&G Level 3).

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent electrical/mechanical experience.
• 18th Edition preferred but training can be given.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
• Clear communicator with internal and external staff.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify or repair electrical equipment across pumping stations.
• Carry out reactive maintenance and respond to alarms across multiple sites.
• Record work and asset information to improve performance and raise issues for resolution.
• Provide technical advice and support, including mentoring apprentices.
