Job summary

Thames Water is seeking an Electrical Technician to travel across multiple pumping stations in the Home Counties South area. Base locations include Camberley STW or Esher STW. The role is 38 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, with overtime after essential training.

You will wear PPE, use company van and fuel card, and contribute to reliable plant operation. You should be a time-served apprentice with electrical/mechanical experience or NVQ/C&G Level 3 in electrical engineering; 18th Edition is

Qualifications

• Time-served apprentice with electrical/mechanical systems experience or NVQ/C&G Level 3 in Electrical Engineering.
• 18th Edition preferred; training can be given.
• Problem solver able to identify potential issues and escalate when required.
• Excellent communicator with Internal and External staff and contractors.
• Resilient and adaptable to changing environments.
• Able to work with minimum supervision and take initiative.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety issues relevant to the industry.
• Team player who supports development of others.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Respond to alarms and fault find to identify issues, fix or escalate.
• Carry out reactive maintenance of plant equipment.
• Record work and asset information to improve business performance.
• Provide specialist technical advice and coaching/training staff, including apprentices.
• Deliver excellent customer experience and ensure professional interactions with customers.
