Job summary

NG Bailey Facilities Services is seeking a Mobile Electrical Technician for railway contracts in the London, Metro, Southeast London and Kent areas, with occasional work in Sussex. A company van is provided, and a UK driving license is essential, plus PTS/Sentinel if not held.

40 hours per week, with a 1-in-6 call-out rota and a salary of £36k-£42k plus travel time and overtime. Benefits include pension, sick pay, private medical insurance, wellbeing support, and flexible benefits.

Qualifications

• Recognized Electrical Apprenticeship preferred but not essential.
• City and Guilds 236 Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent required.
• City and Guilds 18th Edition certification required.
• City and Guilds 2391 desirable for inspection/testing.
• PTS desirable if not already held (required for some sites).
• IOSH Working/Managing Safely desirable for safety culture.
• PTW and RAMS knowledge desirable.
• L8 Training desirable for advanced qualification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure work aligns with method statements, risk assessments and safety legislation.
• Deliver PPM tasks and reactive works within service levels.
• Maintain premises to a high standard through proactive service delivery.
• Build strong client relationships with outstanding service.
• Keep site documentation up to date for audits.
• Use CAFM system to provide accurate service information.
• Demonstrate Health & Safety knowledge to ensure safe delivery.
• Carry out electrical maintenance and installation per standards.

About the Role

Are you ready to take your career to the next level? NG Bailey Facilities Services is on the lookout for an experienced Mobile Electrical Technician to join our prestigious SETL - South East Trains Limited Railway Contract. You'll be at the forefront of electrical maintenance across train stations in the London, Metro, Southeast London, and Kent areas, with occasional work in Sussex.

As a key member of our team, you'll enjoy the freedom of a company van and the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment. A UK Driving License is essential, and you'll need to pass a medical and obtain a PTS (Personal Track Safety) sentinel card if you don't already have one. This is a condition of employment.

Your Responsibilities

• Ensure all work aligns with method statements, risk assessments, and safety legislation.
• Deliver exceptional service by completing PPM tasks and reactive works within contractual Service Level Agreements.
• Maintain high standards across all premises through proactive service delivery.
• Build strong relationships with clients and their representatives through outstanding customer service.
• Keep site documentation up to date for regular audits.
• Utilize the client's CAFM system to provide accurate service information.
• Demonstrate Health & Safety knowledge to ensure safe work delivery.
• Carry out Electrical Maintenance and Installation work in accordance with industry standards.

Working Hours

Your working hours will be 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a call-out rota of 1 in 6 weeks.

We seek an Electrical Engineer who is committed to delivering high-quality building services with a strong focus on customer satisfaction. You should hold current qualifications, including:

• Recognized Electrical Apprenticeship (preferred, not essential)
• City and Guilds 236 Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent
• City and Guilds 18th Edition
• City and Guilds 2391 (desirable)
• Personal Track Safety - PTS (desirable, not essential)
• IOSH Working/Managing Safely (desirable)
• Safe System of Work Procedure - PTW; RAMS etc. (desirable)
• L8 Training (desirable)
