Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions in East Anglia is seeking a Mobile Electrical Engineer / Authorised Person (AP). You will maintain and install electrical plant and equipment, resolve faults quickly, and support critical systems operations.

Key responsibilities include acting as AP, responding to breakdowns within SLA, maintaining UPS and generators, applying risk-based maintenance, preparing method statements, undertaking upgrades, and ensuring documentation and financial compliance.

Qualifications

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (Amendment 2/3) required.
• Previous AP appointment (AP15/12) preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a qualified electrical engineer.
• Experience with generators and UPS maintenance.
• Strong understanding of building maintenance systems.
• Knowledge of BMS, HVAC systems, and CDM processes.
• Health & Safety qualifications (IOSH/NEBOSH).
• Testing and inspection of electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Act as the electrical Authorised Person (AP)
• Respond to breakdown maintenance requests within SLA
• Maintain and inspect UPS systems, generators, and commercial installations
• Apply risk-focused maintenance strategies for critical plant/systems
• Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and works requests
• Undertake upgrade and installation projects
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with financial processes
• Support incident reporting and root cause analysis
