Mobile Electrical Engineer

Location: Stevenage / St Albans (Hertfordshire)

Hours of work: 40

Contract Type: Permanent

We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Electrical Engineer to join our team and support ISS's mission of delivering world-class building maintenance services.

This role is pivotal in ensuring high-quality electrical and building services maintenance across client sites, with a strong focus on fault finding, repairs, planned and reactive maintenance, and installation work within commercial properties.

Job Description

The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional technical expertise, a commitment to health and safety, and the ability to deliver outstanding customer service.

You will work within a fast-paced FM environment, ensuring compliance with strict standards while contributing to continuous improvement and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete electrical PPM and reactive maintenance tasks within agreed timescales.
  • Carry out fault finding, repairs, and installation work to ensure optimal performance of electrical systems.
  • Support other building services maintenance, including fabric, HVAC, and mechanical tasks.
  • Provide call-out response as part of the agreed rota.
  • Supervise and monitor contractors' work, ensuring compliance with standards and issuing Permits to Work.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work completed and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure all electrical equipment operates to specified performance criteria and surrounding areas meet company standards.
  • Represent the company professionally, delivering excellent customer service and maintaining strong client relationships.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
  • Fully qualified electrician with relevant electrical qualifications.
  • Strong experience in electrical building services maintenance, including fault finding, installation, and inspection/testing.
  • Previous experience in reactive and PPM building services maintenance within FM environments.
  • Full UK driving licence.
