Job summary

Trafford Council in Trafford is seeking a Mobile Cook Supervisor to lead the preparation, cooking and serving of nutritious meals in schools and other sites across Greater Manchester. You will supervise a catering team on-site and ensure high standards of food hygiene and customer service.

The role is part-time and term-time (39 weeks per year) with pro rata pay. DBS check and driving license are mentioned; a Real Living Wage employer with supportive benefits is outlined.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising catering or kitchen operations.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals in line with approved menus.
• Assist with food preparation, cooking and presentation.
• Support breakfast, break and lunchtime catering services.
• Set up and clear dining areas and service counters.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness and hygiene.
• Receive, store and manage food deliveries.
• Order stock and assist with menu planning where required.
• Provide a positive dining experience for children, staff and visitors.
