Job summary

Aramark UK is recruiting a Mobile Cook to support school catering across Cheshire and Shrewsbury from Nantwich. You will provide vital support across multiple sites, preparing, cooking and serving nutritious meals for pupils while maintaining kitchen operations and high standards.

The role is term-time, 30 hours per week, with free on-site parking, travel expenses, and access to employee benefits. NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery is preferred; driving licence and DBS checks apply.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery is preferred.
• Experience working in a catering or kitchen environment.
• Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to different sites.
• Strong organisation and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support catering operations across schools throughout Cheshire and Shrewsbury.
• Prepare, cook, and serve nutritious meals for pupils.
• Assist with menu delivery and food preparation.
• Ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene, and safety.
• Support kitchen teams during periods of absence or increased demand.
• Maintain accurate records and complete required food safety documentation.
• Assist with stock control, stock rotation, and food ordering.
• Ensure kitchens remain clean, safe, and compliant with company procedures.
• Build positive relationships with school staff, pupils, and catering colleagues.
