North Yorkshire Council is seeking a Mobile Cook to cover schools in the Skipton and Settle area. You will travel between sites, preparing fresh, nutritious meals using locally sourced ingredients and delivering a high standard of service to pupils and staff.

Join a friendly team, manage food orders and stock, keep accurate food safety records, and ensure hygiene standards. A mileage allowance and pension scheme are provided; you will use your own vehicle with business insurance.

No two days are the same in this varied role. You’ll work as part of a friendly and supportive team no matter which school you are covering on any given shift.

You'll be responsible for:

• Preparing and cooking fresh, nutritious school meals using locally sourced ingredients
• Supporting and leading kitchen teams when required
• Serving meals to pupils and staff in a friendly and professional manner
• Managing food orders and stock levels
• Maintaining excellent standards of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety
• Completing food safety records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation

As a Mobile Cook, you'll travel between schools, helping us deliver a high-quality catering service wherever cover is needed. You will be required to use your own personal vehicle with business insurance, a mileage allowance of 55p per mile, plus travel time is also paid.
