Job summary

Applefields School is seeking a Mobile Cook to cover Ripon and surrounding areas. You will travel between schools, preparing nutritious meals within a budget and ensuring food safety standards are met.

The role involves serving meals, managing stock, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness with proper records. You will need to use your own vehicle with business insurance; a mileage allowance is paid, and Enhanced DBS disclosure is required for appointment.

Qualifications

Hours: 22.5 hours per week (Term Time Only)

We are currently recruiting a Mobile Cook to cover in Ripon and surrounding areas.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is reliable, enjoys variety. You'll travel between schools, taking in the stunning North Yorkshire landscape along the way, peaceful countryside and rolling moors, you'll work in some of the region's most beautiful surroundings.

As part of the role, you will:

• prepare and cook nutritious food within a budget following all food legislation
• maintain an effective catering service operating to the highest standards of food safety.
• serve meals to students and staff,
• ensure food is ordered and managing stock levels
• maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment, recording and documentation of all relevant information following our food safety management system.

You will be required to use your own personal vehicle with business insurance, a mileage allowance of 55p per mile, plus travel time is also paid.
