Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking Chaperone Technicians to join the Technical Services team on the EOS contract. This mobile role combines chaperone, escort duties, and general building-fabric maintenance across designated government sites.

You will escort contractors and authorised personnel, undertake planned and reactive maintenance, and help keep sites safe, compliant, and well-maintained. Travel within your region and participation in the callout rota are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in building/fabric maintenance or general handyperson roles.
• Hands-on skills in carpentry, plumbing, painting and decorating, masonry, locksmith, or ceiling-grid repairs.
• Strong health and safety awareness and ability to follow safe systems of work.
• Ability to work independently and manage a mobile workload.
• Good communication with clients, contractors, security teams and site personnel.

Responsibilities

• Carry out chaperone and escorting duties across designated sites.
• Escort contractors and authorised personnel while they complete work within secure environments and report remedial works to engineers/supervisors.
• Plan, inspect and complete repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Respond to breakdowns and reactive maintenance promptly.
• Complete delegated reactive work orders and planned preventative maintenance within budgets and SLAs.
