Job summary

Aramark is hiring a Mobile Catering Assistant to cover schools in the Marches area, mainly Oswestry, West Felton, and Shrewsbury, with occasional travel to Whitchurch. The role is 20 hours weekly, term-time only, offering a supportive, inclusive environment.

You will assist with food prep and service, delivering excellent customer service to pupils and staff while upholding food safety standards and flexible site coverage.

Responsibilities

• Providing mobile catering support across multiple school locations.
• Covering Oswestry, West Felton, and Shrewsbury, with occasional travel to Whitchurch.
• Assisting with food preparation and service.
• Delivering excellent customer service to pupils, staff, and visitors.
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of school catering operations.
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness.
• Assisting with stock replenishment and general kitchen duties.
• Following all health & safety and food safety procedures.

We are currently recruiting for a Mobile Catering Assistant to join our team covering schools across the Marches area, primarily supporting sites in Oswestry, West Felton, and Shrewsbury, with occasional travel to Whitchurch. This is an excellent opportunity for a flexible and enthusiastic individual who enjoys variety in their role and is passionate about delivering excellent food and customer service.

What you'll be doing

• Providing mobile catering support across multiple school locations
• Covering schools primarily across Oswestry, West Felton, and Shrewsbury, with occasional travel to Whitchurch
• Assisting with food preparation and service
• Delivering excellent customer service to pupils, staff, and visitors
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of school catering operations
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness
• Assisting with stock replenishment and general kitchen duties
• Following all health & safety and food safety procedures
• Working flexibly to support staffing requirements across different sites

Qualifications

About you

• Previous catering, hospitality, or customer service experience is desirable
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• Positive and customer-focused attitude
• Full driving licence and access to transport would be advantageous due to travel between sites
• Successful candidates will be required to complete a DBS check prior to commencing employment.
