Job summary

McCarthy Stone is seeking a Mobile Care Assistant to join our care team in Hatfield and surrounding areas. The role involves personal care, domestic duties, and facilitating residents’ wellbeing across our developments.

A full UK driving license and access to a car are essential, with travel between sites and mileage paid at 43p per mile. The position offers an hourly rate of £14.50, with additional pay of £0.30 for evenings and £1.30 for weekends, plus a probationary £300 bonus.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Health and Social Care preferred but training provided.
• Strong interpersonal skills and empathy.
• Ability to manage time effectively and be reliable.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised care including daily activities, personal hygiene, and medication assistance.
• Domestic duties: clean and maintain communal areas, shopping, and household tasks.
• Support social activities, transport arrangements, and appointments to improve wellbeing.
