Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced BMS Service Engineer for a mobile role across the Central Belt of England, from the Midlands through to Peterborough. You will deliver service excellence for diverse customer sites, maintain and optimise BMS and control systems, and contribute to upgrade opportunities.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in BMS/Building Controls, strong fault-finding, and good IT skills with a UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Min 3 years' experience within BMS, Building Controls or Automation.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in a customer-facing service environment.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to work independently and participate in an out-of-hours callout rota.
• HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (desirable).
• Experience with Johnson Controls Metasys systems (advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on BMS and control systems.
• Diagnosing faults and resolving technical issues efficiently.
• Configuring and commissioning controllers and network-level devices.
• Modifying software and maintaining accurate system documentation.
• Producing service reports and recommendations.
• Building strong customer relationships and acting as a trusted advisor.
• Supporting upgrade and lifecycle projects.
• Promoting OpenBlue and cloud-connected building technologies.
• Maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and compliance.
