Equans is looking for a Mobile BMS Engineer to join our Digital business, covering parts of Birmingham and the surrounding areas on a full-time basis.

Equans Digital has an exciting opportunity to deliver critical Building Management System (BMS) Infrastructure upgrades across sectors like commercial, retail, healthcare, education & government. We aim to make sites ‘Smart Enabled’ and introduce IoT solutions to generate social, economic, and environmental benefits.

We deliver projects ranging from £10k to £1.5m, with an evolving in-house team and specialist supply chain partners. With a growth strategy over the next 3–5 years, this role is key in shaping and expanding the team sustainably.

Key activities:

• Installing, configuring, and maintaining BMS components such as sensors, controllers, actuators, and software systems.
• Performing maintenance on Trend, Tridium, and Distech BMS systems on various sites.
• Participating in a reactive call-out rota (additional pay included).
• Providing technical support and advice to clients regarding BMS systems.
• Identifying opportunities for system improvements and remedial works.
• Preparing proposals and quotes for works.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

• Electrical qualifications such as City & Guild, BTEC, or NVQ.
• Experience with BMS/HVAC systems, especially Trend, Tridium Controls/Niagara, Distech, Siemens.
• Good knowledge of the electrical industry and ability to interpret schematics.
• Understanding of IT networks and AutoCAD.
• Full UK driving license.
• Controls training and fault-finding experience in electrical panels.
• DBS and potentially BPSS vetting.
• Excellent communication skills.
