Job summary

Vertas is seeking a Mobile Assistant Cook to support our Catering Team across Hucknall, Newark and surrounding sites. This 20-hour per week role runs Monday to Friday, 09:30–13:30, with travel between sites as required.

You will assist with meal preparation and serving, uphold high standards of food safety and hygiene, and help with stock control and general kitchen duties while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous catering experience is desirable.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
• Full UK driving licence with own vehicle access.

About the Role

Working across locations between Hucknall and Newark, you will be working 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:30 to 13:30, 39.2 weeks per year. You'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of high quality catering services across multiple sites, ensuring excellent food standards and customer service are maintained at all times.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the preparation and cooking of meals
• Serving food and providing excellent customer service
• Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
• Assisting with stock control and kitchen organisation
• Supporting catering teams across multiple locations as required
• Assisting with washing up and general kitchen duties
• Following health and safety procedures at all times

Pay Rate:

£12.77 per hour
