Job summary

Vertas is seeking a dedicated Food Service Assistant to join our Catering Team at Bilsthorpe Flying High Academy. The role is 5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 12:30–13:30, 39.2 weeks per year, delivering high quality catering in a safe, friendly environment for pupils and staff.

About the Role:

Based at Bilsthorpe Flying High Academy, NG22 8PS, you will be working 5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 12:30 to 13:30, 39.2 weeks per year. You'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of a high quality catering service, ensuring pupils receive excellent food service in a clean, safe and welcoming environment.

• Assisting with the preparation and serving of meals
• Providing excellent customer service to pupils, staff and visitors
• Supporting the maintenance of a clean and hygienic kitchen and dining area
• Following food safety and health and safety procedures
• Assisting with washing up and general kitchen duties
