Job summary

Vertas is seeking a dedicated School Cook to join our Catering Team at Brinsley Primary & Nursery. You will contribute to preparing and serving high-quality school meals and supporting the kitchen’s day-to-day operations.

Based at Brinsley Primary & Nursery, NG16 5AZ, you will work 8:15am to 1:15pm, Monday to Friday, 25 hours per week, 39.2 weeks per year, delivering consistent, safe and tasty meals for pupils and staff.

  • Following food safety, hygiene and Health and Safety requirements.
  • Assisting with stock control and helping to minimise waste.
  • Completing records in line with company procedures.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen.

About the Role:

Based at Brinsley Primary & Nursery, NG16 5AZ, you will be working 8:15am to 1:15pm, Monday to Friday, 25 hours per week, 39.2 weeks per year. You'll play a key role in preparing and serving high quality school meals while supporting the smooth day to day operation of the kitchen.
