Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Limited in Basingstoke is seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to work across commercial contracts along the M3/M4 corridor, carrying out small installations and planned and reactive maintenance.

The role offers a salary up to £48,000, a fully equipped company van with a fuel card, on-call rota, a company pension and a bonus scheme, with opportunities to stay up to date with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing, maintaining, and installing air conditioning systems.
• Proven knowledge of VRF systems, chillers and heat pumps.
• City & Guilds/NVQ RAC and F-Gas Cat 1 certification.
• Excellent communication and workload management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance on commercial AC systems.
• Diagnose faults and repair VRF/VRF, split, chillers and heat pump units.
• Install new air conditioning units and related equipment per project specs and safety rules.
• Complete site surveys and provide upgrade recommendations where needed.
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently, on time and to a high standard.
• Accurately complete service reports and compliance paperwork for site visits.
• Liaise with clients, site managers and office staff for clear communication.

Air Conditioning Engineer- Basingstoke - M3/M4 coridor - Salary up to £48,000

CBW is currently recruiting for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join a leading facilities maintenance company. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a range of commercial contracts across the M3/M3 area, carrying out small installations and planned and reactive maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a wide range of commercial air conditioning systems, ensuring compliance with manufacturer and industry standards.
• Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis on systems such as VRV/VRF, split units, chillers, and heat pumps.
• Install new air conditioning units and associated equipment in line with project specifications and health & safety regulations.
• Complete site surveys and provide technical recommendations for upgrades or replacements where necessary.
• Ensure all works are completed efficiently, on time, and to a high standard with minimal disruption to the client.
• Accurately complete service reports, job sheets, and compliance paperwork for all site visits.
• Liaise directly with clients, site managers, and office staff to ensure clear communication and customer satisfaction.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times, including the correct use of PPE and safe working practices.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working order.
• Stay up to date with industry standards, product developments, and compliance regulations.

Person Specification:

• City & Guilds or NVQ in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning and F-Gas Certificate (Category 1)
• Proven experience in servicing, maintaining, and installing air conditioning systems.
• Strong knowledge of VRF systems, chillers, and heat pump technology.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
• Ability to manage workload across PPM, compliance, and reactive maintenance tasks.
