Job summary

Holcim is seeking a Readymix HGV Driver for our logistics team at the Salford depot. You will operate a Concrete Mixer truck, with occasional transfers to other depots within the region. The role requires a valid HGV licence, Driver CPC, and a flexible approach to hours, including potential nights and weekends.

We value teamwork and customer-focused service, offering full training where needed and opportunities to progress within the Holcim UK network.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV licence and Driver CPC card required.
• Knowledge of Working Time Directive and drivers hours advantageous.
• Previous concrete mixer experience is desirable but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Concrete Mixer truck for day-to-day depot runs.
• Base at the Salford plant, with transfers to other depots in the region as needed.
• Uphold company standards to maximise fuel efficiency and minimise vehicle damage.
• Work independently or as part of a team; weekends and nights may be required.

The Opportunity

We have a new vacancies for an Readymix HGV Driver to join our expanding logistics team based out at our plant in Salford. As a Qualified professional HGV driver for Holcim you will be responsible for the day
to day running of a modern company run Concrete Mixer truck, The truck will be mainly based at our depot but you will be required to transfer to other depots within the region when the company requires you to. The company expects that as a professional HGV driver you will uphold the high standards set by the company and to run the truck in an effective manner to maximise fuel efficiency and minimise and damage to the vehicle. The company also promotes team work at all of its depots so during any quiet periods we expect people to get involved and help out around plant. What will you bring? Can work alone or part of a team . Flexible approach to hours as this role will require some weekend and potentially night working. Knowledge of AI Policies and procedures an advantage. Knowledge of concrete desired but not essential. Customer Focused. Good Communication skills required. A valid HGV licence and driver CPC card is required. Good knowledge of working
