Job summary

Raytheon UK in Malvern is seeking a hands-on Technical Support & Sustainment Engineer to support complex IT systems used in defense, national security, and other critical environments. You will work across secure, multi‑server and multi‑client systems from build through upgrade, with occasional travel to UK sites and abroad.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT systems, system administration, or a similar technical environment.
• Experience configuring multi-server and multi-client environments.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft and Linux infrastructure concepts.
• Willingness to travel within the UK and overseas, with occasional out-of-hours support.
• Ability to obtain and maintain UK security clearance (SC minimum).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and sustainment for deployed systems to ensure reliability and compliance with standards.
• Support programs during build, including hardware assembly, software installation and configuration.
• Plan and carry out testing on new and upgraded systems (IT- and system-level).
• Deliver office-based support to customers by phone and email, with occasional out-of-hours work.
• Travel within the UK and overseas to deliver, commission, upgrade and diagnose issues on systems built in Malvern.
• Work across a broad technology stack including Microsoft, Linux, AD, certificates, networking, storage and virtualization.
• Maintain local replicas of customer systems for troubleshooting and testing.
• Demonstrate software and systems to customers while contributing to continuous improvement.
