Job summary

MBDA is offering an Integration & Missile Validation Engineer undergraduate placement for 2027. The scheme focuses on proving missile systems meet requirements, with on-site work 4-5 days per week and BPSS security checks after offer.

Salary is £24,460 with a strong benefits package and potential progression to a graduate role. Placement covers ground and flight trials, functional integration, and test equipment development, providing hands-on lab and offsite trial experience in a Defence

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate working towards a degree in an Engineering, Physics, Mathematical Sciences, Technology, Computing or a General Science discipline.

Responsibilities

• Ground Trials: test robustness of products under vibration, shock and climate conditions.
• Flight Trials: integrate subsystems onto aircraft to simulate missile behaviour in flight.
• Functional Integration: verify hardware and software work together and respond as expected.
• Firing Trials: evaluate full weapon system performance.
• In-Service Support: monitor and test in-service products with customers.
• Design and develop test equipment and software to support proving activities.
