Job summary

MBDA in Stevenage offers a placement in Integration and Missile Validation (IMV) where you will gain hands-on experience proving missile systems meet customer requirements. You will work on Ground and Flight Trials, Functional Integration and Firing Trials, developing your problem-solving and data analysis skills in a lab and on test rigs.

Starting September 2027, this 1-year placement is on-site 4-5 days per week with the potential to secure a graduate role.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate working towards a degree in an Engineering, Physics, Mathematical Sciences, Technology, Computing or a General Science discipline.
• Willingness to work hands-on in a lab environment and on trials.
• Security clearance requirements include BPSS checks after offer stage.

Responsibilities

• Ground Trials: test robustness of products across environments (vibration, shock, climate).
• Flight Trials: integrate subsystems onto aircraft to simulate missile behavior in flight.
• Functional Integration: demonstrate hardware and software work together and respond as expected.
• Firing Trials: final evaluation to ensure full weapon system works and demonstrates capability to customer.
• In-Service Support: test and monitor in-service products with the customer.
