Job summary

West College Scotland is seeking an MIS On-line Services Assistant to deliver cross-campus online services for students, staff and external stakeholders. The role involves handling confidential data in line with GDPR and collaborating with multiple college departments across Clydebank, Greenock or Paisley.

The ideal candidate will have a SCQF Level 5 qualification in Business/IT/Administration and solid IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

  • SCQF Level 5 qualification in a Business, IT or Administration subject area.
  • Experience in managing data electronically and in a curriculum support service.
  • Competent IT skills with Microsoft Office; GDPR compliant practices.
  • Responsible, accountable and resilient in handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

  • Provide an online cross-campus service to students, staff and external stakeholders.
  • Process and deal with sensitive and confidential information per GDPR guidelines.
  • Communicate, liaise and work with college departments and curriculum staff regarding Online Services.

Student Services

Grade 3: Salary £29,087.84 to £31,432.52 per annum

35 hours x 52 weeks

Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm with 1 hour lunch break.

Temporary for 1 year

Candidates can work at any Campus (Clydebank, Greenock or Paisley)

The successful candidate will provide an online cross campus service to students, staff and external stakeholders. You will process and deal with sensitive and confidential information submitted by students, adhering to GDPR guidelines and regulations. You will also communicate, liaise and work with other college departments, curriculum staff and external stakeholders in relation to services provided for students by Online Services.

It is essential that you have a SCQF Level 5 qualification in a Business, IT or Administration related subject area. The successful candidate will have experience in managing data electronically as well as experience of working in a curriculum support service function. You will have competent IT skills - using Microsoft Office software and be responsible, accountable for your own actions and resilient.
