Job summary

Somerset Council in Taunton or Yeovil is seeking an MIS Support Technician to provide day-to-day support for management information systems, CRM platforms and reporting across Connect to Work and Community Learning. You will work with the Strategic Data Lead to maintain accurate information, help users, resolve queries and contribute to system enhancements.

The role offers a fixed-term contract until 31 March 2030, 37 hours per week, and a Grade 14 salary of £26,016 to £26,847 per annum with

Qualifications

• Experience supporting business systems, databases, CRM platforms or management information systems.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Experience troubleshooting system issues and supporting users.
• Confidence working with data and maintaining accurate records.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line support for programme management information systems and CRM platforms.
• Support colleagues with data and system queries, user access requests and troubleshooting activities.
• Assist with day-to-day CRM administration, system configuration, maintenance and testing.
• Help implement system and process changes driven by service developments and reporting requirements.
• Produce and maintain user guides, process documentation and training materials.
• Monitor data quality and support the continuous improvement of systems and processes.
