Job summary

Mears Group is seeking an experienced Minor Works Supervisor to manage day‑to‑day minor works, repairs and maintenance across occupied homes in Peterborough. The role balances time between office and site, ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery while supporting the development of the service locally.

You will supervise operatives and subcontractors, plan workloads, monitor progress and liaise with residents and clients to resolve issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Experience as a supervisor in social housing, repairs or property maintenance.
• Knowledge of minor works including repairs, structural issues and fire reinstatement.
• Strong health and safety compliance awareness when working on occupied properties.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day delivery of minor works and repairs.
• Supervise operatives and subcontractors to meet contractual targets.
• Plan workloads and allocate resources to maximise productivity.
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections.
• Ensure works comply with Health & Safety and quality standards.
• Provide day‑to‑day guidance and coaching to the team.
