Job summary

Mears Group PLC is seeking a Building Maintenance Supervisor in Rotherham to lead a responsive repairs team for a social housing contract. The role blends field leadership with some office-based duties to ensure homes are safe, compliant and maintained to high standards.

You will manage day-to-day delivery, supervise operatives, monitor performance, and coordinate with the client and subcontractors. We offer a full-time permanent position with a salary up to £43,038.03 per year, a company van

Qualifications

• Experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or similar in housing.
• Proven H&S compliance tracking experience.
• UK driving licence in good standing.
• COSHH awareness and safety knowledge.
• Strong planning and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day delivery of repairs across occupied properties.
• Lead a field-based and office-based maintenance team.
• Monitor safety, quality and compliance.
• Coordinate with client representatives and subcontractors.
• Support disrepair claims and budget control.
• Utilise system reports to track performance.
