Job summary

Adecco Portugal is recruiting for a Mill Operator / Forklift Driver in the Maidstone area. This permanent role offers a Monday to Friday pattern, 6:00am–4:30pm (pattern to be confirmed), with a pay rate of £14.00 per hour.

You will join a long-established manufacturing business and contribute to a fast-paced production team. The successful candidate will operate mill control panels, load materials with a forklift, maintain production records, and support various operational tasks while following

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence.
• Previous FLT operating experience within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, hardworking, and committed with a positive attitude.
• Flexible approach to work and willingness to assist where required.

Responsibilities

• Preparing raw materials for the manufacturing process.
• Operating mill control panels and associated equipment.
• Ensuring production processes are completed in line with company procedures and quality standards.
• Maintaining accurate production records.
• Carrying out routine mill cleaning schedules.
• Packing finished products and stacking them onto pallets.
• Loading, unloading, and moving materials using a Forklift Truck (FLT).
• Testing and approving raw materials.
• Safely storing products within warehouse racking systems.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe working environment.
• Supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive team culture.

Having successfully operated for many decades, the company is continuing to grow and is looking for a reliable and motivated individual to join their production team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in producing high-quality work. The successful candidate will be a team player, able to follow procedures accurately, and willing to support various operational tasks throughout their shift.
