The Best Connection is seeking a Production Operative/FLT Driver in Stockport to join a busy manufacturing team. The role combines forklift operation with production duties, with rotating shifts on mornings and afternoons. Immediate start available.

Unloading wagons, loading pallets, and handling paperwork are core parts of the role, with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency. A valid Counterbalance licence is essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
• Unload incoming wagons
• Load pallets of glass onto production machinery
• Operate machinery in line with procedures
• Complete paperwork relating to pallet usage and stock movements
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area
• Work closely with colleagues to meet production targets

Production Operative/FLT Driver

Location: Stockport

Hours: Monday to Friday, Rotating shifts 6:30am - 2:30pm, 1:30pm - 21:30pm - you must be comfortable with both

Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour dep on exp

Start Date: Immediate Start Available

We are currently recruiting for an experienced FLT driver/ machine operator to join a busy manufacturing and production team based.

This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced environment and would suit candidates who are reliable, hardworking, and enjoy a challenge.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
• Unloading incoming wagons
• Loading pallets of glass onto production machinery
• Operating machinery in line with company procedures
• Completing paperwork relating to pallet usage and stock movements
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
• Working closely with colleagues to ensure production targets are met

Requirements:

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (essential)
• Previous experience operating a forklift in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
• Ability to follow health and safety procedures at all times
• Good attention to detail, particularly when completing paperwork
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work effectively as part of a team
