Job summary

Accept Recruitment is seeking a skilled MIG Welder for a Coventry site (CV2) in a permanent, full‑time role. You will MIG weld sheet metal from 1.0mm to 6mm, predominantly mild steel and stainless, with some aluminium and occasional TIG for precision work.

You’ll read engineering drawings, fabricate and assemble components, and produce neat welds to a high finish. The role is in a small, supportive team with a stable, growing business.

About the company

An established sheet metal fabrication company in Aldermans Green, Coventry. The business is busy and growing, with a small, close-knit team, and they’re looking for a skilled MIG welder to join them long-term.

The role

• MIG welding sheet metal fabrications from 1.0mm to 6mm
• Working mainly in mild steel and stainless steel, with some aluminium
• Some TIG welding on precision work
• Fabricating and assembling components from engineering drawings
• Producing neat, accurate welds to a high standard of finish
• Checking your own work for quality and accuracy

What they’re looking for

• Around 5 years’ MIG welding experience, ideally on thin to medium gauge sheet metal
• Confident welding mild steel and stainless; aluminium experience is a plus
• Some TIG experience is an advantage
• Able to read and work from engineering drawings
• Takes pride in a clean, precise finish
• Reliable, punctual and works well in a team
• Own transport is preferred, due to the location
