Job summary

Precision People is recruiting for a skilled MIG/TIG Welder Fabricator in Melton Mowbray. The role focuses on producing high-quality fabricated components using MIG and TIG welding techniques, with a strong emphasis on structural steel and reading detailed drawings.

The successful candidate will have apprentice-trained or time-served background, 3+ years in mid- to heavy-gauge mild steel, and be capable of working independently. Day shifts, permanent role, with immediate interviews.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained or time-served Welder Fabricator.
• Strong MIG and TIG welding and fabrication experience.
• MIG and TIG welding structural steel experience.
• At least three years' experience with mid- to heavy-gauge mild steel.
• Confident reading technical and engineering drawings.
• Fitting experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Able to work on own initiative and hit the ground running.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality fabricated components using MIG and TIG welding.
• MIG welding of mild steel up to 25mm.
• TIG welding of stainless steel.
• Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
• Fabricate components to a high standard.
• Report to the Fabrication Manager.
• Work independently on a variety of jobs and materials when required.
