Job summary

Prime Appointments is seeking a MIG Welder / Fabricator for a Harwich, Essex workshop role. The position is day shift, full time, with a temporary-to-permanent progression. You will weld mild steel, fabricate parts from drawings, and contribute to production targets in a busy workshop.

The ideal candidate has MIG welding experience, capable hand fabrication, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Immediate start is available for qualified applicants.

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience with mild steel.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Hand fabrication and general workshop duties.
• Attention to detail and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• MIG welding mild steel components to a high standard.
• Hand fabrication including cutting, grinding, drilling and assembly.
• Working from technical drawings and job sheets.
• Preparing materials and setting up parts for welding.
• Inspecting finished work to ensure quality standards are met.
• Carrying out basic maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Supporting workshop production targets and deadlines.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
