Job summary

Tawakkul Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking experienced MIG/TIG Welder Fabricators to join its workshop team. You will weld mild steel and stainless steel, fabricate bespoke architectural and structural metalwork from engineering drawings.

Your duties include cutting, measuring, grinding, finishing and assembling components to exact standards, with occasional site work and a focus on safety in a busy workshop.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator with MIG and TIG welding.
• Ability to interpret fabrication drawings and work to tolerances.
• Experience handling mild steel and stainless steel materials.
• Excellent grinding, finishing and polishing skills.

Responsibilities

• MIG and TIG welding of mild steel and stainless steel.
• Fabricating bespoke metalwork from drawings and specifications.
• Manufacturing staircases, balustrades, handrails and other architectural steelwork.
• Cutting, measuring and assembling steel components.
• Grinding and polishing welds to a high-quality finish.
• Working with varying material thicknesses and fabrication requirements.
• Ensuring work meets dimensional and quality standards and maintaining a safe workshop.
• Occasional site work when required.

Salary: Competitive hourly rate, dependent on experience

Overtime: Paid at 1.5x after 40 hours

About the Role

An established architectural metalwork and steel fabrication company is seeking experienced MIG/TIG Welder Fabricators to join its workshop team.

The company specialises in manufacturing bespoke architectural and secondary structural steelwork, including staircases, balustrades, balconies, handrails, gates and structural steel components.

Key Responsibilities

• MIG and TIG welding of mild steel and stainless steel.
• Fabricating bespoke metalwork from engineering and manufacturing drawings.
• Manufacturing staircases, handrails, balustrades, balconies and other architectural steelwork.
• Cutting, measuring, marking out and assembling steel components.
• Grinding, dressing and polishing welds to achieve a high-quality seamless finish.
• Working with different material thicknesses and fabrication requirements.
• Ensuring completed work meets dimensional and quality standards.
• Maintaining a safe and organised workshop.
• Occasional site work when required.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Welder Fabricator.
• Competent in both MIG and TIG welding.
• Experience working with mild steel and stainless steel.
• Ability to independently interpret fabrication drawings.
• Strong grinding, finishing and polishing skills.
• Experience using fabrication workshop machinery and hand tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality of workmanship.
• Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Experience

• Architectural metalwork, including staircases, railings and balustrades.
• Aluminium welding and fabrication.
• Structural steel fabrication.
• CSCS card.
• Previous installation or site experience.
