Job summary

Masstemps Ltd is recruiting an experienced MIG/TIG Fabricator Welder for a busy operation near the Walsall area. You will predominantly weld using MIG with occasional TIG on mild and stainless steels, reading drawings and fabricating components from 1mm to 12mm thickness.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work from engineering drawings, and to produce bespoke, one-off or small-batch parts to tight tolerances. Overtime is available at time and a third.

Qualifications

• MIG/TIG welding experience; ideally 2 years.
• Weld mild steel and stainless steel from 1mm to 12mm thickness.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience producing bespoke, one-off fabrication work.
• Proficient in measuring, marking out, cutting and general fabrication.
• Strong attention to detail with tight tolerances.
• Able to work independently and manage varied workloads while maintaining quality.

THE ROLE

• . Carry out predominantly MIG welding with occasional TIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel.
• . Weld materials ranging from 1mm to 12mm thickness to a high standard.

ABOUT YOU

• Previous experience in a MIG/TIG welding role. (Ideally 2 years experience)
• Confident welding mild steel and stainless steel from 1mm to 12mm thickness.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience producing bespoke, one-off, or non-repetitive fabrication work.
• Competent in measuring, marking out, cutting, grinding, and general fabrication techniques.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately to tight tolerances.
• Able to work independently and manage varied workloads while maintaining high-quality standards

HOURS OF WORK

7am - 16:30pm Mon-Thur Fri 13:30pm Finish (OVERTIME AVAILABLE AT TIME AND A THIRD!)
