Job summary

Pertemps Coventry is recruiting an experienced Welder / Welder Fabricator to join a Coventry manufacturing facility in Exhall on a temporary basis. The role starts immediately and runs initially for around 1–2 weeks, with potential for further intermittent work in blocks of about one week as production needs arise.

You will weld and fabricate in a manufacturing environment, operate mechanised welding equipment, read engineering drawings, and maintain quality standards.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' experience in welding/fabrication workshop.
• Strong MIG/MAG welding experience.
• Previous fabrication experience and ability to read drawings.

Responsibilities

• MIG/MAG welding and some TIG welding as required.
• General fabrication work and reading/working from drawings.
• Operating mechanised welding equipment and welding tests prior to production.
• Adhering to required quality and application standards.

Welder / Welder Fabricator

Location: Exhall

Salary: £14.50 - £17.00 per hour, depending on experience

Job Type: Temporary / Ad Hoc

Start Date: Immediate

Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Welder / Welder Fabricator to join a manufacturing facility in Coventry on a temporary basis.

The role will initially be for around 1-2 weeks, with the potential for further intermittent work in blocks of approximately one week as production requirements arise.

The Role

You will be working within a manufacturing environment carrying out welding and fabrication duties, with some operation of mechanised welding equipment.

Full training will be provided on the specific products and equipment used on site, although candidates should already have a strong background in welding and fabrication.

The role will involve:

• MIG/MAG welding
• Some TIG welding
• General fabrication work
• Reading and working from engineering drawings
• Operating mechanised welding equipment
• Completing welding/operator testing prior to production
• Working to required quality and application standards

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• At least 3 years' experience within a welding/fabrication workshop
• Strong MIG/MAG welding experience
• Previous fabrication experience
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Good attention to detail and quality
• Ability to work independently while following instructions
• Experience with mechanised or automated welding equipment would be advantageous
• TIG experience would be beneficial
• Relevant welding qualifications/certifications would be advantageous
