Job summary

Taylor Blackwood Associates are recruiting a skilled MIG Welder on behalf of a leading manufacturing organisation near Wolverhampton. The role involves hands-on welding and fabrication work with blueprints, and a focus on reading technical drawings to meet precise specifications.

Working hours are 8am to 5pm with overtime available; it's a full-time, temp-to-perm position offering long-term stability within a supportive fabrication team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of MIG welding experience.
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Good maths for measurements and calculations.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding to assemble metal structures.
• Carry out stick welding when required.

Taylor Blackwood Associates are currently recruiting a skilled MIG Welder on behalf of a leading manufacturing organisation based near Wolverhampton.

This is a full-time, temporary-to-permanent opportunity, offering long-term stability and the chance to work as part of a supportive fabrication team.

The Role

As a MIG Welder, your responsibilities will include:

• Performing MIG welding to assemble or fabricate metal structures
• Conducting stick welding on various materials as required
• Working with sheet metal to create components
• Operating hand and power tools to prepare materials for welding
• Using basic maths skills for measurements and calculations
• Fabricating metal components to required specifications
• Reading and interpreting blueprints accurately
• Following all health & safety procedures at all times

The Candidate

• Have at least 1 year of experience in MIG welding, stick welding, and using hand and power tools
• Are competent in sheet metal work and metal fabrication
• Can read and interpret blueprints
• Have strong mechanical knowledge and attention to detail
• Are reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Are motivated to develop their skills and take ownership of tasks
