This full-time, temporary position pays £14.50 to £17.00 hourly, based on experience, with an immediate start. The assignment begins at one to two weeks, offering possible further blocks of roughly seven days as production needs emerge. Duties include welding and fabrication within an industrial setting, plus operating mechanised equipment. Applicants must possess a solid welding and fabrication background; full training covers specific products and machinery. Working hours follow standard shifts across the site. Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Welder / Welder Fabricator to join a manufacturing facility in Coventry on a temporary basis. The role will initially be for around 1–2 weeks, with the potential for further intermittent work in blocks of approximately one week as production requirements arise.

The Role

You will be working within a manufacturing environment carrying out welding and fabrication duties, with some operation of mechanised welding equipment. Full training will be provided on the specific products and equipment used on site, although candidates should already have a strong background in welding and fabrication. The role will involve: MIG/MAG welding Some TIG welding General fabrication work Reading and working from engineering drawings Operating mechanised welding equipment Completing welding/operator testing prior to production Working to required quality and application standards.

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have: At least 3 years' experience within a welding/fabrication workshop Strong MIG/MAG welding experience Previous fabrication experience Ability to read engineering drawings Good attention to detail and quality Ability to work independently while following instructions Experience with mechanised or automated welding equipment would be advantageous TIG experience would be beneficial Relevant welding qualifications/certifications would be advantageous.
