Daventry Metal Products is seeking a Production MIG Welder to join our permanent team in Daventry. You will perform high-quality manual MIG welding on sheet metal and structural fabrications, reading 2D drawings to weld to spec.

Candidates should have 2+ years MIG welding experience in fabrication, be confident reading drawings, and pass a 30-minute bench weld test on site. UK right to work required; role offers full-time permanent contract with overtime and benefits.

• 2+ years of hands-on MIG welding experience in a fabrication environment.
• Confident reading engineering drawings independently.
• Able to pass an on-site 30-minute practical bench weld test.
• Valid right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• High-quality manual MIG welding on sheet metal, structural steel, and custom fabrications.
• Reading and working from 2D engineering drawings and weld symbols independently.
• Assembly setup: tacking, clamping, aligning, and edge bevelling on fixture tables.
• Operating workshop tools (saws, drills, angle grinders) and maintaining 5S standards.

Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire (NN11)

Pay: £18.50/hr (~£43,200/year basic) + premium overtime (1.5x / 2.0x)

Hours: 45 hrs/week (Monday - Friday)

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (Direct Employer - No Agencies)
