Job summary

OA Group in Daventry is seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join a well-established client base in Daventry. The role is temporary with the potential to become permanent, offering 45 hours per week and an immediate start date. Overtime is voluntary and pay is weekly.

Candidates should have MIG welding/fabrication experience with mild steel, be able to read drawings, and work safely to deadlines while maintaining high quality standards.

Qualifications

• Previous MIG welding/fabrication experience, ideally working with mild steel.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and work accurately to specifications.
• Confident using hand tools and basic fabrication equipment.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Able to work to production targets while maintaining Health & Safety standards.
• Reliable, hardworking and a good team player.

Responsibilities

• MIG weld mainly mild steel components to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Set and operate MIG welding equipment and associated tools.
• Complete assembly and general fabrication duties including cutting, grinding, drilling and deburring.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and use measuring equipment to ensure accuracy.
• Inspect finished welds and components to meet quality standards.
• Identify and report faults, supporting troubleshooting where required.
• Work to production deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and Health & Safety.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 45 hours a week

Voluntary overtime available

Salary: £17.00 - £18.00 an hour, weekly pay

• MIG weld mainly mild steel components to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Set and operate MIG welding equipment and associated tools.
• Complete assembly and general fabrication duties including cutting, grinding, drilling and deburring.
