Job summary

Sherwood Forest Hospitals is seeking a Band 6 Midwife to join our dedicated maternity team across the Sherwood Birthing Unit, Maternity Ward and Maternity Triage. The role offers rotational experience and the opportunity to become a core member of a team, delivering high-quality, compassionate care.

You will assess, plan, deliver and evaluate personalised care, working autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team to support families through every stage of the maternity journey.

Qualifications

• Registered Midwife with current NMC registration.
• Diploma or Degree in midwifery or equivalent.
• Mentor/teaching qualification or equivalent.
• NIPE trained.
• Leadership training or equivalent.
• NLS/ALS training.
• PROMPT training.

Responsibilities

• Provide midwifery care across the maternity pathway in line with evidence-based practice.
• Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate personalised care for women and families.
• Travel between Sherwood Forest Hospitals sites to cover posts and shifts.
