Job summary

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust seeks an experienced Band 6 Rotational Midwife to join Women’s Services. You will provide safe, evidence-based, personalised care to women, birthing people and their babies across pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period, working across Leeds General Infirmary, St James’s University Hospital and community settings.

This role offers internal rotation across maternity services, including day and night shifts, within a large tertiary maternity service supporting

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification and current NMC registration as a midwife.
• Successful completion of an LTHT midwifery preceptorship programme.
• Significant midwifery experience and up-to-date professional knowledge.
• Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary and multi-agency teams.

Responsibilities

• Assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care.
• Take responsibility as prime care provider for a group of women.
• Demonstrate advanced clinical skills and supervise others as required.
• Rotate across hospital and community maternity settings, including day and night shifts.
