Job summary

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in Leeds is seeking an experienced Band 6 Rotational Midwife to work across Leeds General Infirmary, St James’s University Hospital and community settings, delivering safe, evidence-based, personalised care to women, birthing people and babies throughout pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period.

This post offers internal rotation across maternity services, including day and night shifts, within a large tertiary maternity service supporting approximately 10,000

Qualifications

• Degree in Midwifery with current NMC registration.
• Evidence of midwifery experience and recent practice.
• LTHT midwifery preceptorship or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication and teaching skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess care needs and develop care plans.
• Implement and evaluate programmes of care.
• Teach and supervise other midwives and staff.
• Prime care provider for a group of women.
• Take charge of a ward during absence of a lead.
• Rotate across maternity services including day and night shifts.
