Job summary

Sanctuary Group is seeking a Multi-Trade Operative to join the Operations Response team covering sites across the Midlands and Shropshire. You will repair occupied properties—from leaking taps to new doors and floor laying—with a company van and power tools provided.

The role involves lone and team working, an on-call rota, and driving a company vehicle. NVQ Level 2 in a core subject is required, with plumbing Level 3 (WRAS) if applicable; CSCS cards not accepted.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical). If Plumbing Level 3 is required, Unvented - G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS).
• Awareness of health and safety regulations and working legislation.
• Skills in Plumbing, Carpentry and Joinery, kitchen and bathroom installations, UPVC door and window fitting.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to priorities workloads, work to deadlines and plan ahead.

Responsibilities

• Attending occupied properties to carry out routine repairs, fault fixing and maintenance duties within Social Housing.
• Resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed.
• Maintaining a suitable van stock level and restocking these when needed.
• Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer.
• Providing out of hours cover via a call out rota.
