Job summary

Hunter Bond partners with a leading global banking organisation in London to recruit an experienced Middleware Platforms Support Lead. The role blends hands-on production support with owning incidents and driving technical improvements across enterprise platforms.

You will lead complex production issues from RCA through resolution, optimise middleware and integration technologies, and push for better monitoring, automation and resilience.

Qualifications

• Strong practical experience with IBM MQ administration and production support.
• Hands-on knowledge of AutoSys or a comparable workload scheduling and automation platform.
• Experience using Splunk for monitoring, investigation and troubleshooting.
• A proven background supporting critical production services, including major incidents, on-call rotations and out-of-hours support.
• The technical judgement and leadership skills to navigate challenging incidents in a demanding enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Taking the lead on complex production issues, from root‑cause investigation through to resolution and prevention.
• Supporting and optimising key middleware and integration technologies across a business‑critical environment.
• Driving improvements in platform stability, monitoring, automation and operational resilience.
• Acting as a senior technical escalation point, helping ensure essential services remain reliable and performant.
• Raising engineering standards and identifying opportunities to make support processes smarter and more efficient.
